The Big 4!

Elijah turns 4! I can't believe it! He had a great day. We went to the Children's Museum and, had a party with family. He got a Cars bike, and he was very excited! What a blessing he is!

Walking at Last

Hayden is walking at 16 months! But he beat Elijah by one month. He is all over the place, and he is so cute.

Apple Picking

My parents, Mimi and Pops, came down for the Labor Day weekend, and we went apple picking. It was hot, but fun. Eli picked a few and then, enjoyed running around. We got 6 apples pies and 8 containers of applesauce out of our apples, thanks to Mimi and Pops. It was a family project. Yummmy! Hayden slept through it all.

First Day of Montessori

Elijah started Montessori on August 19th, and he loves it. On the first day, he said goodbye and never looked back. Although he tells me that he does not like "circle time", he seems to like it. He likes to tell on himself, so I would like to be fly on the wall to see him in action. But no word from the teachers so far. He evens eats lunch there, too.

Elijah's Debut!

Elijah made his debut at the Indiana State Fair with the 6-Hitch Horse race. Along with his Grandpa and Grandma(and a princess riding on top), Elijah got to ride in a stage coach pulled by 6 "dalmatian" horses. He liked it a lot and was very concerned about the princess.

Swimming Lessons

Elijah is finishing up his swimming lessons. He has enjoyed them, but tonight, he was not a happy camper to say the least. Oh well, we all have those days. He loves to swim for the rings. The instructor has said he would be happy just to that the whole time.

Doing the Gorilla Crawl/Walk

Tonight, we played outside. Eli and daddy were playing catch, and mommy and Hayden were swinging. But we caught Hayden doing the Gorilla crawl/walk. Quite funny.

At The Fair

It time for the Hendricks County 4-H Fair. Oh, the smell of animals, manure, fry foods, and the sounds of the screaming kids on the "safe" rides. Elijah loved the tractors, the animals and, of course, the rides. But he was not so sure of the noises of the animals or the rides. What a funny kid, he is. Hayden, well, he was just taking it all in. He liked making sounds of the animals and drinking pretty much all of mommy's lemon shakeup. Maybe we will make it to the Indiana State Fair.
